As they rode onward she noted the tone in his voice as he asked what it was she had learned of men. "I have learned very little to be honest." She said carefully sliding her hood back up over her head as they caught rays of sunshine through the canopy of trees. After she'd finished she returned her hands to his waist, resting them gently on his hips. "I would like to learn more, I see that men have taken a long repelled the evil from the west, it is admirable. But I would like to learn more, to know what it is that makes men so able to stand so strong."
Lindethiel looked at the man before her, and she noted the way the light glinted off of his shoulders and his hair, he was ver well kept for a mortal man, the men she'd seen before from afar were not well groomed their hair was worn long and stringy and had little to no grooming. His hair was well kept well put together and almost not like a man at all. She put her hands a little further around him feeling her fingers slip a bit on his metal covering of his waist.
"When we travel to Dol Amroth, would you be so kind as to tell me what there is to know about the world of men? I have not traveled long from the boarders of my home land, and while the elves have written and shall continue to write about men and their hour I would like to know first hand." It was true she had not left long ago the forests of the Greenwood, and it would be some time before she would return, she couldn't imagine returning while the wound to her soul was so fresh.

"We'll be passing through much of the Realms of Men, in both Rohan and Gondor. I do not claim to be one of the great scholars of our time, but I shall educate on all that I can. What I do not know, I'm sure we can find many willing to teach further." The two continued to ride on further, they were not moving at a great speed but every step was still progress. "I must ask, how did you get so far from Mirkwood without a horse, its a very long way distance to have walked." It she had walked the entire distance it was an impressive thing indeed. It was was not often one saw an elf so far from the elf homes, even more so a lone elf, even more so a lone elf woman. It was good she stumbled across Arenathon, and not one of the foul things he had been chasing with the riders from Rohan or she would surely be dead.
They rode on for quite some time, might small conversation all the way. The Day Star had hoped to be out of the forest before dark, but it would not be the case. In the dark of night his horse needed to go at an even slower pace, lest she catch herself on an unseen root and take a bad fall. It was perhaps an hour after dark when the borders of Fangorn were finally passed and they were upon the grassy plans. It was then the horse picked up, even after the days riding the noble steed was not so tired as to stretch her legs in a proper run when given the chance.
They rode on an hour further until Fangorn was a memory, lost to sight in the shadow of the night. Then however it was time to rest, for they would have plenty more riding tomorrow. The horse came to a stop and Arenathon dismounted before offering his hand to the she-elf to aid her down. Graceful and agile as she was, it was proper of him. He was eager to change his silks lest he caught a chill, at least he had a change. If only the one. "Are you hungry? I have bread and salted meat." He was well stocked at least, on his departing from Rohan he was gifted a token of food by the commonfolk and that was after he had already bought food for his ride.

"I left the wood on foot." Lindethiel explained. "I have walked most every where I have gone but there have taken aid from riders and those upon horseback." Said the she elf as they rode through they the canopy. She reached her hands to her lips softly running her thumb over the inside of her lips, taking one moment to think of how long she'd been gone from the forrest. It had only felt like a moment and the grief had not yet passed. It had been rumored that there were years that passed, some times decades and even centuries passed where the grief bore heavy on the minds of elf kind, but, Lindethiel refused to remain crippled by the death and the darkness. Her hand slipped off of her lips and fell on his waist once more.
They rode until they had out of the forest and Lindethiel dismounted with the aid of Arenathon when they stopped to make camp. She looked down at the man as he made camp, she unhooked her cloak and laid it out for a bedroll. Lindethiel brushed her fingers through her hair and turned when Arenathon asked if she was hungry she listened as he gave her options she pursed her lips gently. "Bread would be fine thank you." She said taking a seat on her cloak. "I do not think I'm hungry enough for salted meat at the moment." She put her finger tips against her leaf shaped ears watching the the human before pulling her bow over her head and shoulder and her removing the quiver after it. Once the bow and quiver was on the ground before her the she-elf took the offered bread from Arenathon and her eyes met his, giving her the opportunity to nod in thanks for the bread before taking a small bite.

After a hard days' riding it felt good for Arenathon to take off most of his armour. He would, quite obviously, keep watch while the lady elf got some rest and it would do no good for him to be caught totally unprepared so the Dol Amroth Knight left on his breastplate, his hammer nearby. When the elf confirmed she would accept some bread the Knight offered it after unwrapped it in the little cloth the Rohan peasants had covered it in. He took some salted meat for himself. Of the many praises he had for the riders of rohan, they knew how to salt meat. It made life easier that he enjoyed such foods, it would be a terrible thing indeed to be stuck with food one had a disliking for when on these long journeys.
"My Lady, you should get some rest. I shall take watch." they were probably safe, while they did not have much coverage, with word of orcs in the area the simple bandits would stay clear for a few days. They couldn't outrun wargs and while orcs tended to be less then talented foes, wargs were much more ferocious. Not that he couldn't take one down with a good swing of his hammer towards its brain!
Taking from his horses pack a pair of small wooden blocks and rocks from the grass around the Knight of Dol Amroth started to put together a fire. It would mean they were even more noticeable in their spot that lacked concealment but the warmth would do them well. He might not even need to change his wet silks, he could simply sit beside the fire and let that take care of his wet clothes.

The knight offered to take the first watch of the night, and Lindethiel probably should have let him for his honor's sake. "You do not have to take watch on my account." She said softly. "Rest, Arenathon of Dol Amroth, an I shall take watch tonight. I do not need rest like many mortal men and I would take the watch gladly as thanks for your kindness in carrying me from the Fangorn." Though she could have walked out of it easily enough Lindethiel had agreed to accompany the Knight.
In the Fangorn Lindetheil thought she might perhaps have stayed for all the ages to come until the trees withered away and the sun lost it's light it was a magical place that made one think that the world would go one or an eternity, the trees swayed and spoke in the low rumbling whispers of wood bending and creaking. The thought of such a grand place where wizards walked among Ents made her dream of a time when her ancestors walked the earth and awoke the trees. Would the elder elves of the world be so pleased with their forests today? She wondered but she did not speak on it often, for what place did a maid of the Mirkwood have to offer the sagely kings of Elves?
The she elf settled on her cloak which stood for make shift bedding tearing another hunk off of the bread before returning it to Arenathon and taking a bite of what was left in her hands. It was a rough bread of mostly meal but it was welcome to her stomach after a few days with food. She would not perish after a few days of not eating but the she elf certainly did prepare regular meals to infrequent hunger.
