Well hello! I'm new around these parts and my nickname's Puck (which I guess I'll be going by on here (haven't had anyone call me Puck since I was fourteen), but my real name's Julia). I've been role playing since I was ten, and I think it's only fair to say I've grown in the last twelve years. My friends and I used to RP back in middle school, and we'd pass our RPs back and forth during class or share what we'd written during recess. I've been on a few RPG sites in the past, though it has been a while, so I may be a little rusty whenever I start up on here. I've been an Oregon resident all my life. I come from Portland (yes, the city the TV show Portlandia is based on, and yes, it is frighteningly accurate), but I'm right now going to college in a small town called Ashland. I'm currently in my fifth and final year of college. I'm majoring in Creative Writing and Theatre, with a minor in Photography. The long term plan is to write books and screenplays for a living, so hopefully it'll all work out. I'm planning on living in New Zealand for a year once I graduate, starting this upcoming July, which I'm beyond excited for. I've been a fan of Tolkien's work since I was a kid, and am currently madly in love with the newest Hobbit film. On Tumblr I run the blogs I-Want-To-Boff-Bofur and The-Brothers-Ri. I adore all of the dwarves, though my favorites would have to be: Bofur, Bifur, Dori, Nori, Ori, and Dwalin. I could rant about how I'm also in love with all the fellas playing the dwarves, but I'll save that for a rainy day rant. I've also written some Bifur-centric fanfiction over on Tumblr which has garnered quite a bit of popularity, and I'd be willing to share it if anyone was interested in reading it. Besides my love of Tolkien's work, I'm also a huge fan of: Doctor Who, The Muppets, Game of Thrones, LOST, The Daily Show, Harry Potter, Disney, The Blues Brothers, Stephen King, John Green books, musical theatre, Jurassic Park, Parks and Recreation, Community, 30 Rock, New Girl, hamburgers, Sherlock, Pixar films, Mad Men, Kevin Smith films, Shameless (the US version), The Princess Bride (both book and film), Breaking Bad, and Downton Abbey. Well that should be everything. So hello! And I look forward to getting to know everyone on here. ;D

Oh I see! [tarzan: OIC!] haha. Welcome to T-LotR, Puck! I'm glad you're here to share your love of the Dwarves with the rest of us. I must admit, Bofur is my favorite as well! But nothing will ever surpass the cheeseyness of Fíli and Kíli sitting at the table stating the obvious. The way Bofur puts Incineration made me want to faint when Bilbo did... o.O; is that weird? THAT IS COOL! I've always been interested in writing screen plays myself, it seems like it would be a fun thing to do! And moving to New Zealand for a year!? I'm game, let's go!!! *packs bags* Haha, again, welcome!!!

Hello Puck, it's great to have you here! Welcome to True LotR! Wow, it sounds like a mighty interesting (and fun!) career lies ahead of you, not to mention your plans for living in New Zealand - wow! Are you thinking of staying in North Island or South Island? I spent a few months in South Island myself, back in 2009. It is the most beautiful place and the people there are unbelievably lovely and kind (in my experience, at least). I, for one, would be interested in reading your Bifur-centric fan fiction. I'm in the process of applying for Fíli at the moment, so I look forward to RPing with you in the near future! ^^

Hi guys! Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I agree, it's hard to beat Fili and Kili when it comes to their cheesiness, and just general adorability. I too wanted to faint when Bofur was talking about the incineration, though probably for fairly different reasons (I think it's more of a swoon, really. I can't handle that accent of his). And yes! New Zealand! I've been wanting to travel once I graduate college for a while now, and New Zealand is someplace I've always wanted to go. I'm not sure if I'm going to stay on the North or South Island, though I am planning on seeing both. A friend's heading over there with me for the first couple of months, so we're planning on traveling all around, seeing sights, and just general adventuring. Then once she goes back to the states I'm planning on heading back to whichever town I liked best to set down roots for a while. It's all still very early in the planning process. I've heard only the best things about NZ - especially about the landscapes being beautiful and the people being lovely. As for my Bifur-centric fics, they can be found over at FF.net: * www.fanfiction.net/s/8829056/1/The-Darkest-Hour* www.fanfiction.net/s/8870333/1/No-Good-News-in-the-Dead-of-NightAnd yay for Fili! I look forward to our future dwarven adventures! Again, thanks for the warm welcome, you guys! <3

Hello, Puck!! Nice to meet you! Even though we haven't met properly yet, I saw your app for Dori and was blown away! You really put a lot of hard work into the character, didn't you? Wonderful job! ^o^v I think it is ALL kinds of amazing that you and your friends used to roleplay together (especially in class )! It's hard to find people who roleplay these days, isn't it? So it's great to know you had some friends who actually roleplayed with you! Your Major, Minor, and future plans are also all really amazing! I hope you get to go to New Zealand! You could give us all a live report!!! ;D (And seconding you on the screenplays! *high fives* I would love to be a screenwriter when I graduate!!!! <3) You're so right, too, about the Hobbit film! The dwarves are really all amazing! When I first went to see it, I was worried that 13 dwarves might be boring compared to the original Fellowship. I had felt that way a little when I read "The Hobbit." But the movie does an EXCELLENT job of making each dwarf unique, interesting, and realistic! You just have to love them all! XD I think I can honestly say too that, whether I have my favorites or not, all the dwarves are love! XP You have a lot of great fandoms too! We should talk about those sometime, maybe in a new post here in the "Seeing Stones" post area! But regardless, I do hope you have a lot of fun here and that we can roleplay some time! All the best to you! ^_^v

Hello, Puck! This is, in fact, Pumpkin--that annoying girl from Tumblr! I'm so very happy you decided to join up, hehe~ It's going to be amazing having a writer on the site who is as passionate about the "Ori's" and Tolkien's work as you! Your application was so well done! A beautiful read~ <3 I think it's awesome you've been roleplaying since ten! I might actually be the same exact as you...I think I was that age, too. Although, that's quite close to when LotR came out, right? ^^ Maybe it's just an inspired age! Whatever the case, it's quite a liberating hobby, isn't it? For that very reason, I hope you can get into writing for a real career. It's so very rewarding in so many ways, and you'll be doing something you love every day. Nothing can beat that! ^^(Plus, going to New Zealand to live for a while is an AWESOME plan!! You have to take lots of photos of "Middle Earth," if you do! ) Anyway, I'll try not to be as long-winded as I usually am. I should say too, though, that I hope you keep up the awesome work on Tumblr! I'd originally bombarded your Ask! button because I was so impressed by your lovely work for the "ori's"! You've got a great blog on there! OH! And I am most definitely going to have read some of that fanfiction! ^^ You should set up an official thread on here, somewhere in the OOC, for your fanfiction links! It would be cool to have a collection like that! Last but not least...your fan list is just pure win. <3 I want to recommend "Takin' the Asylum," if you haven't seen it yet! It's starring David Tennant and Ken Stott (Balin's actor), and they're both just brilliant in it! It's actually on Youtube, too, so terrible as that is to say....heh heh, you can enjoy it for sure! Anyway, welcome welcome!! \(^0^)/ By the way, a bit irrelevant to this thread, but I'm in the process of making a request for a Dwalin for the site, so I've also taken the liberty of seeking out your lovely character's equally lovely brothers!! (Let's cross our fingers for some luck! ^_<)

Hi guys! Nice to meet you, Alex, and glad to see you, Pumpkin! Thanks so much for the compliments on my app! I wanted to make sure I got Dori right, so I spent a long time working on it. As for my love of the Ri brothers, I can't lie, I'm dying for there to be an Ori and Nori on here so I can set Dori to scolding/mothering them constantly. So if you can find us a Nori and an Ori I would be so very happy! XD Roleplaying was a bit simpler when I was younger. We was really basic writing, and it was in a script format. But it was fun and we thought we were so cool passing our RPs back and forth during class. A friend and talked about starting up an RP via email recently, but that plan seems to have fallen by the wayside. So I'm glad I was introduced to this site! Thanks guys for the support about my future career goals! You guys are so sweet. :,) I've always wanted to go to New Zealand ever since I first saw Lord of the Rings. Of course, nowadays I want to go because of the cultural and sights and things to do, but I won't lie, a big part of me plans on geeking out while I'm there and exclaiming, "I'M IN MIDDLE EARTH!!!" My friend and I are planning on visiting the Shire location that's there. Expect lots of pictures! Thanks for the idea about setting up a thread for my fanfictions, Pumpkin! I think I'll do that sometime tomorrow. I haven't seen "Takin' the Asylum"! I found it on youtube though, so I'll have to give it a watch. I'm currently going through "Being Human" (for Aidan Turner/Kili) and "Cold Feet" (for James Nesbitt/Bofur), but I'll have to try out "Takin' the Asylum" soon too! I should probably talk in the cbox eventually. I've lurked around a bit, but haven't said much yet by way of conversation. Maybe later in the week, when school's a bit less hectic (Monday's and Tuesdays are pretty awful for me right now. )
