A LITTLE MORE IN-DEPTH:Personality: Iduna is like a dog. She's always at your side when you need to to be and when you don't. You love to hate her and all you get is love in return. Iduna is loyal and would lay down her life for you and most of all makes a really good fired. She believes in humour and having fun, especially on the battle field. When not in battle Iduna tries to rely on womanly charm to weave her way out trouble, and if that doesn't work, then just brute force. If for some unfortunately reason you ensure with witch onto the battle field, then you arn`t as smart as you look. Never underestimate a woman, let alone a dwarfish woman, for it they are seen outside the Mountians hall, then they are as fierce as the men.
But lets not take this hard outer shell so seriously. Like most dwarves Iduna has a love for music and laughter, games and feasting. And it takes one heck of a dwarf to get under her skin. Mind you, a grudge can be held for quiet a long long time with this one. She cares little for gold and treasures for her treasure is the world around her.
History:
Like all dwarves folk from around Middle-Earth, the horrors of Erebor had stuck the hearts of even the safest dwarves communities, like far West in the blue Mountains. Bother her mother and father served as guards to the cities, mostly her father though. both brave and daring. Born in Ered Luin in 2853 some family line to the Firebeards, the only surviving child of her family, all other succumbed to illness at too young of an age. Going beyond the can like her parents once did was always her dream. To fight in great battles and to be remembered for her strengths.
Like her mother before her, Iduna took it upon herself to become a warrior like she was. not many dwarves woman became or even dreamed of being so because the population is ever so small, that most women stay hidden within the walls with the children. Not this girl. Even as a child, she was high curious, so many questions that needed to be answered. Quiet bold for a child her age, but that only made her more determined. Iduna like most girls her age worked with taking care of other children, doing the sewing, cleaning and cooking, but she often snuck off to see what the great crafts men and blacksmiths were doing. Which often enough got her caught, and eventually leading her mother never letting her eyes off of her. A sad life for a curious child.
Slowly but surely Iduna learned her ways around a blade, whether it was practicing with no one was looking or picking fights with other young dwarves to feel the excitement of battle. War was in her blood like it was with most dwarves, it must be the fire inside of her raging. It was then when her father decided to start teaching her before she caused any more trouble within the mountain. Eventualy she earned a right to join every once in a while border patrols, which was the best gift she could have ever gotten.
Iduna was slightly older when her and a couple companions decided to go off on there own little quest to see what they could slay with their new sorts. like reckless children they were, slashing and hacking at whatever they saw, never quiet realizing the damage they would do. Only Iduna and her cousin made it out alive that day, 6 left the city to begin with. A small group of highly skilled Dwarves came to save them after figuring out that they were missing in the first place. One in particular stood out to Iduna. This Dwalin, a mightly war hero save her and her kin. And it was in that moment when she knew that childish game had to be set aside. He was almost a role model to her, though he would never have known it.
It was then on that training became more intense, and more about proving to herself that blood of her kin will not be split on her expense ever again. Her presence with the guard grew, as the embers of hatred for orc kind grew more and more. With each stroke of her sword and with ever swing of her axe, it was all for her fallen comrades. Iduna became extremely loyal in battle, willing to lay down her life for her kin.
Now she is searching for a quest to rid her of her guilt.
Roleplay Sample:Bree was no longer a distant speck in the horizon behind her, it was far from gone. Sinead and her robust steed had taken the long way around the Shire, to not become lab led as a disturber of the peace. Many a men or other folk who traveled through the Shire and Hobbiton were often frown upon, especially those who bore arms. Word always made its way around, and that was the last thing her employer needed to hear at the moment, seeing as business has been down. Most people would break into the wilds on the East-West Road for hunting, but not her. Creatures lingered their that she did not with to face or be demolished by. Word had spread of troll sing coming down from the mountain, and that was the last thing she wanted to be, a tolls supper.
So the West was her designation, to the Tower Hills and the sounding forests, where massive hears of deer were able to survive. That was her target. Not many live too close to the mountains, so most herds move west when the winds begin to change. This was at a time where her and her father would wonder off into the Wilds for a hunting trip that was last days or even weeks depending on what needed to be caught. Now anything that Sinead caught would be sold and the profit would go to her Uncle so that she may use his shop. just before leaving Bree, her quiver was packed and her sword sharpened, for even to the west, foes still lied.
It was when Sinead believed that she had reached her destination, that she dismounted from her great chestnut coloured steed and unpacked, and trying him to a tree. He seemed rather content with himself and Sinead walked off. Her eyes scanned the roots and the greenery beneath her feet, seeing his a herd had made its way through these hills. It seemed like nothing but rabbits and other manner of small creatures, not enough to profit from. Small traces of excrements from a larger animal, presumably a deer was sparkly there. So she continued to unpack and set her camp up at the base of a large tree for tonight. She would pick up the trail in the morning.
Once the skies began to darken and the moon peaking through the clouds that Sinead had dimmed her fire to nothing more then a simmer and began to close her eyes. The think furs of her cloak kept her warm as she drifted off to distant lands. It seemed like a good number of hours had pasted more any movement was heard. Sinead slowly got herself up and strapped her quiver to her back and her bow in her hand, she darted back into the trees. She had hoped that it was just a couple passing through, a quick clean kill before twilight. Though one may hope, it is not often so.
